At the Urban League Twin Cities, we are committed to fostering economic empowerment and financial stability within the African American community. Our Wealth Development Department offers a range of comprehensive services and programs designed to support individuals and families on their journey to financial wellness and homeownership. Through our various initiatives, including the African American Community Land Trust, Financial Wellness programs, Prepurchase and Post-Purchase Counseling, and “Homestretch” Homebuyer Education, we aim to empower our community with the knowledge, resources, and tools needed to achieve lasting prosperity.

Achieving financial wellness is a critical step toward economic independence. Our Financial Wellness programs provide essential education and resources to help individuals and families manage their finances, reduce debt, build credit, and create a stable financial future.
* Assessing your financial outlook, setting financial vision, making a financial action plan
* Managing Your Money – budgeting and saving
* Understanding Credit – learning about credit related to homeownership, protecting credit and knowing your rights
* Protecting Your Investments – managing your home and your money. Understanding refinancing, and avoiding foreclosure
